Figured a update was needed...

Well a lot has been going in in my life since the last time I posted. I finished up my time as XO, and was FINALLY able to get outta the fires brigade!! Thank goodness!! Definitely never thought I was going to be able to make that move, well at least not until the career course. But I've got some pretty amazing friends to help me out!! I am now a FET OIC in first brigade!! It's definitely a challenging job but I am very excited about it and the experiences that are going to come along side! I am currently learning Pashto for it! Which surprisingly I find easier than Spanish but that could because I spend a lot more time in class and really don have anything else to do but learn it. Plus I feel like there are bigger incentives to learn Pashto because apparently a college degree wasn't enough of an incentive for Spanish.... Hahahah

I just got back from my weekend trip in Texas! As always I had a blast it was just to short!! Plus Scott got to go with me, which was awesome since the family finally got to meet him :) We got in on Friday and went straight to dinner with the Fam, talk about throwing someone to the wolves! But as excepted he handled himself just fine! :) then some of the sibling, Mary and us went to rocking p for a few drinks... Saturday's plans were a little messed up because of the weather... Funny how is always seems to rain everyone I go home to visit!! Even with the weather we still had a nice relaxing day with the family, which is all I really wanted anyways. Sunday was probably the busiest day. We all go up and went to dads church... Kinda was a surprise for everyone else I think. Well next on the agenda was lunch as hard 8 BBQ!! Oh goodness how I love that place!! Nothing like Texas BBQ!! After we had satisfied our Tummys we moved the party to G9 Ranch to shoot guns and enjoy the beautiful green day that Saturday's rain had brought us. Mom also made me a dirt cake for my Bday since I won't actually be home on that day. Such a thought and amazing mother I have!! :) As the sun started to go down we headed back to good ol' stephenville to chill at Jahna and of course start the packing process. Mary and George stopped by for a bit to say hello! It was really good to see them since I hadn't seen them since I was home for their wedding in October. I miss my best fran and wish that I could have hung out longer with her, but at least we are able to catch up a bit and get a few pictures. Well finally it came time to head to fort worth for the hotel, since we had an early flight and to return the rent car. Btw we rented a jeep compass and I seriously loved it!! Thinking it very well maybe my next vehicle! :) anywho we got to fort worth about midnight and had to be up by five to make sure we made our flight! Sees told you it was a very busy day! :) well we are back in Fayetteville now just relaxing before work tomorrow.
